MICASE has a parallel project going on for written register, MICUSP (
http://www.micusp.org/ ) but it is not yet released.
Louvain Corpus of Native English Essays LOCNESS (
http://www.fltr.ucl.ac.be/fltr/germ/etan/cecl/Cecl-Projects/Icle/locness1.htm
) has two subcorpora with American and British student papers
respectively.
