    Translation Workshop
    Lisbon - 1 October 2004

    Working with Corpora

    This one-day workshop is an introduction to corpora and their uses in
    both translation studies and the teaching of English and Portuguese as a
    foreign language. The morning session will include an introduction to
    the British National Corpus, to COMPARA, and to some of the Portuguese
    language corpora distributed by Linguateca. The participants will then
    have the opportunity to try out these corpora for themselves in a
    hands-on session in the afternoon.
