Assistant Professor Position in Information Retrieval
The Informatics Institute at the University of Amsterdam invites
applications for a permanent assistant professor position
starting Summer 2007. We seek candidates with active research
interests in the general area of web mining and with a background
in evaluation-based research in retrieval. Experience in
statistical modeling and system building, an ability to recruit
research funding in a competitive environment, and demonstrable
teaching abilities are important requirements.
The successful candidate will join the Intelligent Systems Lab
Amsterdam within the Informatics Institute, where research in the
general of web information access combines insights from
information retrieval, language technology and semi-structured
data.
