Dear Colleagues:

This email is to notify you of the availability of the Buckeye Corpus of conversational speech for research purposes. The corpus contains high-quality recordings from 40 speakers in Columbus, OH, talking freely with an interviewer. The speech has been orthographically transcribed and phonetically labeled. The audio files and transcriptions for 20 talkers are presently available, and the entire database is tentatively set for release in August, 2006.
