I was just wondering if anyone knows of an online corpus of rap lyrics or of
African American Vernacular English. I saw in the archives that someone had
asked about the AAVE, but did not see any answers. Also, if a person (not a
linguist, a folklorist) were to build a corpus of rap lyrics as a project,
and this person is only really interested in nouns, would it pay to tag all
the parts of speech?
