For those who might be interested, there is a segment on the most recent
edition of the BBC program "Word of Mouth", which deals with the VIEW
interface for the British National Corpus (http://view.byu.edu). As
some may already know, this interface allows simple word, phrase, and
substring queries of the BNC. But unlike some other interfaces, it also
allows queries by register, semantically-related words (e.g. integration
with WordNet), charting features, and some nice collocates features as
    well.

The segment lasts about five minutes, and can be found at
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainframe.shtml?http://www.bbc.co.uk/radi
o/aod/radio4_aod.shtml?radio4/wordofmouth. Use the buttons to fast
forward into the program about ten minutes. The interview will be
available on this link through at least Friday morning, Feb 3.

    Best,

    Mark Davies
