    Here are two books which are very good to learn about summarization:
     
    1) Advances in Automatic Text Summarization
         Edited by Inderjeet Mani and Mark T. Maybury

    2) Mani, I. Automatic Summarization. Amsterdam: John Benjamins, 2001.

    They have everything that u need to work on summarization and i
    recommend reading them before digging deep. :)
