Les 4èmes Journées Internationales de Linguistique de Corpus auront lieu à
Lorient les 15, 16 et 17 septembre 2005. Elles sont organisées par le
laboratoire ADICORE de l'Université de Bretagne Sud.
Objectifs
Ces 4èmes Journées de Linguistique de Corpus visent à promouvoir le
développement de la linguistique de corpus en France. Elles réunissent des
chercheurs venus d'horizons divers qui s'intéressent à l'utilisation de
l'informatique pour l'analyse des faits de langues. Les thèmes couverts
incluent, de manière non exhaustive :
· la lexicologie et lexicographie, mono~ et bilingues,
· la lexicométrie
· la terminologie,
· la traductologie,
· l'analyse du discours,
· la linguistique appliquée et
· la description linguistique,
· ... .

4th International Corpus Linguistics Meeting in Lorient 15 - 17 septembre 2005

The 4th "Journées de la linguistique de corpus" corpus linguistics meeting will
be held in Lorient on the 15th, 16th and 17th September 2005. They are
organised by the Corpus Research Team of the ADICORE research group of the
University of South Brittany, Lorient, France.
The languages of the conference are French and English, there will be no
translation facilities.

We are pleased to announce that plenary papers will be presented by :
Professor Wolfgang Teubert, University of Birmingham, Corpus linguistics: A new
way to look at meaning.
and
Professor Jean Véronis, University of Aix-en-Provence. La linguistique de
l'infiniment petit.
Objectives
The 4th "Journées de Linguistique de Corpus", like their predecessors aim to
promote the development of corpus linguistics in France. They bring together
researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds, the central issue being the use
of computational tools in the study of corpora. Topics covered include:
a.. mono~ and bilingual lexicology and lexicography,
b.. quantitive linguistics,
c.. terminology and terminography
d.. translation studies
e.. discourse analysis,
f.. applied and descriptive linguistics
g.. ... .
Languages
French and English (no interpretation facilities)
Organisation
Full papers of 20 minutes in length plus question time on current work in the
field. There will also be a poster presentations. Selected
papers and posters will be published in the conference proceedings
