    APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS-POSTING...

    CORPUS DEVELOPER

Chambers Harrap Publishers Ltd are dictionary and reference publishers,
    based in central Edinburgh, Scotland.

We are looking for a corpus developer to assist in the creation of an
English language corpus for in-house use in dictionary compilation. The
corpus will be available to editors working on monolingual English
dictionaries as well as to those compiling bilingual dictionaries.

The developer will be responsible for corpus design, sourcing
appropriate technologies, software implementation and text-gathering
methodology, as well as consulting with editorial staff to ensure
representativeness of content. The corpus development will need to be
flexible to ensure ease of future expansion and be integratable with
related elements such as our Wordtrack reading programme for tracking
    new words.

The corpus developer should have degree-level qualifications in
linguistics and experience of corpus development. They will be a
self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision within a team
    environment.

(shansen@chambersharrap.co.uk) or by post: Chambers Harrap Publishers
    Ltd, 7 Hopetoun Crescent, Edinburgh EH7 4AY.
