Birthday Greetings to the Registry of Latin American Researchers in
Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics!

    http://www.d.umn.edu/~tpederse/registry/registry.cgi

This site was launched one year ago (Nov 23, 2002) and has now grown to
include more than 100 researchers from all around Latin America. Please
stop by and visit the site - it's quite interesting to see the wide
variety of work going on in Latin America. There is also a bulletin
board facility that anyone can use to post messages, make announcements,
    etc.

    A bit of background...

The objective of the Registry is to provide a centralized source of
information for and about students, professors, researchers, and
practitioners in Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics
who currently reside in Latin America. If this describes you, or if you
are originally from Latin America but living elsewhere, please take a
    moment to register.

    Cordially,
    Ted Pedersen
