Certainly, apologies for not having done so earlier!

    The city is Chemnitz, Germany.
Chemnitz is located in East Germany, just north of the Czech border. It
constitutes the southern point of a triangle with Leipzig and Dresden.
Having suffered neglect during the years of the Soviet Bloc (when it was
known as Karl Marx Stadt) it is currently undergoing an extremely impressive
regeneration. The focus is on an enthusiastic improvement of everything from
cultural events, to the market square and commercial centres, to the town's
    streets and suburbs.

Chemnitz is a very cheap town to live in. The price of accommodation is
    particularly stunning.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
