    Dear corpora subscribers,

(I sent this message last week to corpora-request, but nobody answered)

I think I am not the only corpora subscriber who is a bit annoyed by the
    huge
increase of email traffic on this list, for the last few months and
especially the last week. A moderated list would not be a solution, because
    it would seriously
threat the open discussion character of the list.

There is a solution though, the corpora list could move to a mailing list
    server that
offers a digest mode (a perodic summary of the messages on the list). Or
route the current mailing list into a digester. People who like
living in the fast lane can stay tuned to the current list, people that do
    other work
besides managing their inbox could subscribe to the daily digest.

I found some information about list servers:

    http://www.health.ufl.edu/itcenter/im/mail-lists/list-server-features.shtml

gives an overview of mailman (open source) and listserv, both packages
offer a digest mode and a lot more.
Even Majordomo (the current corpora list server) seems to
    support a digest mode:

    http://www.visi.com/~barr/majordomo-faq.html#3.11

    Thanks,
