About two weeks ago Christopher Tribble, in reply to an earlier query,
suggested that one can collect a corpus by registering for the FREE
e-mail edition of the the Weekly Guardian, receiving about 50,000
words with every issue.

I contacted the paper, and was directed to
<http://www.guardian.co.uk/GWeekly/> , and using an e-mail address on
that page inquired specifically about their e-mail edition.

Their reply was that "The Guardian Weekly e-mail service is free to
postal subscribers," that is, those who already are getting the
printed paper. They continued, "If you have an e-mail address, you
may register for this service by quoting your e-mail address to us
when purchasing your subscription. . . . Please confirm you are a
subscriber, . . . "

So it seems that this weekly e-mail edition is not free

Or was Tribble referring to some other edition?

Anyone knows more about these possibilities?
