Subject: Corpora: WinBrill : Brill's tagger for W9x at INaLF

WinBrill is an adaptation of Brill's tagger to Windows 95/98. It also
includes a lemmatizer for French language.
Brill was trained for French language at INaLF.
You can get more information at http://jupiter.inalf.cnrs.fr/WinBrill.
Sorry most of the documentation is in French language. WinBrill is a
freeware. Attention WinBrill 0.3 is a beta-version

I'm working on a PC with Windows 95, and I'm looking for a POS TAGGER that will run on my machine. Any suggestions?

Also, I've been trying to run Oliver Mason's QTAG, which is written in Java and looks as if it should work on my computer. However, I haven't been able to install it properly. If anyone has installed QTAG on a PC with Windows, could you please e-mail me...... I'd like to know how you set up your directories, paths, classpaths, etc. and what command you use to call QTAG.
