I am currently part of team carrying out a pilot project for the EPSRC
in the UK on the feasibility/desirability of constructing corpora of
non-indigenous minority languages in the UK. The other members of the project
team are Mark Sebba at Lancaster and Lou Burnard at Oxford. Additionally, we
have links with a range of academic, public sector and private sector concerns
in the UK.
As part of our work, we want to develop a wider European view of what
is needed. The web page

more about the project and also contains a web questionnaire which we would
like those interested in the project to fill out. We will also, shortly, be
announcing a further questionnaire geared more explicitly to language
