The _Oxford Electronic Text Library Edition of the Complete Works of Jane
Austen_ is exactly what is wanted. It is available from Oxford University
Press, 200 Madison Ave, NY, NY 10016 212-679-7300 for $95.00 (I have no
connection with OUP except that I admire their electronic editions). This
Austen edition is based on the electronic edition that Burrows used.

This edition is reviewed in the most recent _Computers and the Humanities_,
vol 28, nos 4-5 (Aug/Oct, 1994), 317-321. I have published "An Analysis
of Jane Austen's Characters' Speech," _TEXT Technology_, 4.4 (Winter, 1994),
263-267.
