UoB : MCTS at UoB : The HIT Centre : BATMULT home

 Financing

Financing is provided to eligible young researchers whose application has formally been accepted.  Financing covers 3 to 12 month research stays in Bergen.

Travel: Fellows will be refunded a two-way travel restricted to economy class air and rail fare.

Subsistence: Fellows will receive 1200 Euro/month in subsistence allowance. The University will assist in booking affordable student housing. Depending on the tax agreement between Norway and the home country of the fellow, employer contribution, tax and social security contribution may be deducted from the total subsistence allowance. Fellows should be covered by a social security scheme in their home country.

Research: Costs of access to the required facilities at the University of Bergen will be covered, and a limited budget will be allocated to cover office consumables and other small project costs depending on the project's extension and characteristics.

NB. There is no financing of staff (academic or technical). This means that the BATMULT staff can only provide scientific advice and incidental technical support, while fellows need to carry out the research activities themselves.
