SHORT DESCRIPTION
Please provide a short description of the course (50 words or so), giving an overview of the course contents.
LEVEL
If an individual module is described, use one of: Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Postdoc, Or one of: Basic, Bachelor, Master, PhD, if the study programme is structured this way, Or other, if necessary. If a complete programme is described, give the final qualification e.g. BA, MSc.
FACTUAL INFORMATION
This section should provide information about the practical aspects of the course. DURATION should contain information about the timespan of the unit. Typically, it is assumed that programmes aimed at achieving a certain degree (such as Bachelor, Magister, etc.) will last several years; if the length of the study period is not fixed in advance, please fill in the approximate number of years needed for completing the programme and make a note in the 'more'.
For separate courses within an individual subject, the duration should be typically filled in as number of semesters AND number of months/weeks. When the course is offered on a regular basis (e.g., every academic year), the section FROM - TO should indicate the months when the course is taught. When the course is not taught regularly, use 'more' to clarify. The section HOURS PER WEEK is intended to display the intensity of the teaching by specifying the number of contact hours. If the number of hours expected to be dedicated by the student to the preparation for the course outside class is unexpectedly high, please use 'more' to clarify. The number of ECTS credit points should simply define the qualification a student obtains within the ECTS framework after finishing the course successfully.

What are ECTS credits? ECTS credits are a numerical value (between 1 and 60) allocated to course units to describe the student workload required to complete them. They reflect the quantity of work each course unit requires in relation to the total quantity of work necessary to complete a full year of academic study at the institution, that is, lectures, practical work, seminars, tutorials, fieldwork, private study - in the library or at home - and examinations or other assessment activities. ECTS is thus based on a full student workload and not limited to contact hours only. ECTS credits are a relative rather than an absolute measure of student workload. They only specify how much of a year's workload a course unit represents at the institution or department allocating the credits.
In ECTS, 60 credits represent the workload of an academic year of study and normally 30 credits for a semester and 20 credits for a term.
