Concerns

Whereas the various working groups need to concentrate on the content and structure of their own materials, it is needed that a working group addresses the overall presentation and navigation through the material. People for this working group are expected to have good experience in building web sites and could help to smoothen the links between the content work we do and the technical implementation by VDI-VDE.

Recommendations from this WG should come early and may influence the activities of the other WGs. Frames, sub-windows, user interaction, multilinguality, search facilities, database storage  are among the topics.  Requirements for updating facilities (including public feedback) need to be worked out in detail.  See Linglink site http://www.linglink.lu/hlt/index.asp. This Linglink site will serve as a basis for the new HLT Central site, under which ELSNET and JEWELS will reside. (However, this site is not very appealling in its present form!).  Since various organisations are working on the JEWELS site, it is very much recommended that the JEWELS site can be physically mirrored at the sites of ISCA, EACL, and the Socrates TNPs. What is needed for this?
